SHOWDOWN 

The VC Gallery was proud to join Fine Rolling Media as an executive producer on their second fictional short film, ‘Showdown’. A Western drama that sees the traditional stoic cowboy protagonist re-imagined as a 10-year-old autistic boy from South Wales. The project was written by Fine Rolling’s Lewis Carter and directed by Carter and Fine Rolling’s founder, Kristian Kane. The short film aimed to put a hero on-screen that autistic people can relate to. The film premiered at a charity screening at Cinema and Co in Swansea with all donations going to The VC Gallery and a specific autism charity.

‘Showdown’ took home the ‘Critics’ Choice Award’ at the Cardiff International Film Festival in 2019
