THE ART OF REMEMBRANCE
Every September to November’s Armistice Day, the VC Gallery engage with the community to express their feelings of war, sacrifice, loss, and honour. Looking at all conflicts, we have been able to explore conflict in the wider context. This project gave us time to visit military museums and have talks about warfare spanning from the Boer War to modern-day Afghanistan. Art workshops take place in schools, colleges, residential homes, alongside veteran’s charities, youth groups, and with communities to form a wonderful final exhibition in Haverfordwest.
